MUSIC

I've enjoyed Music since I was probably a toddler.  Dad used to play the piano in the basement of our first home, especially during the holidays and after work.  I originally wanted to play sports when I was a young boy, but I was small and scrawny.  I then got into video games, which also go back to my early childhood, but became frustrated that I wasn't earning any money or business ability by doing that.  This was before people were being paid to play video games.  My first favorite song was "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder, and to this day I enjoy a many kinds of music, but have leaned towards Baroque and Classical genres since finishing college in 2013.  I hold a Bachelor of Science in Piano, and it might have been a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance, but the first two schools I attended lowed me down.  These days, I've grown a little tired of playing the classics, so I'm more interested in making new music now than in the past.  I'd like to do some work in Nashville at some point, but I'm just learning the basics of studio recording now as well.

I have been a pianist for over 23 years, and a singer and composer, off-and-on, for nearly as long.  I hold a BS in Piano from the University of Indianapolis, and a Transition to Teaching Certificate through Indiana Wesleyan University.  I have a lot of experience as not only a pianist, but also have sung with school and church choirs, have conducted and accompanied choirs and ensembles (especially for ISSMA), and have been a 3-time semi-finalist with the American Prize, a major music performance and composition contest series based in Connecticut ('15, '16, & '20).  The kinds of music I perform includes:

CLASSICAL, CHRISTIAN, GOSPEL, ROCK & ROLL, SPIRITUALS, JAZZ, BLUES, some COUNTRY, and MORE.

Pretty much everything except for Rap and Hip-Hop.

I can perform as a SOLO act and as part of a BAND/GROUP.

I can also perform for PAID GIGS/LIVE MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES, including:

MOST WEDDINGS, BACKGROUND MUSIC, MOST CIVIC EVENTS & CEREMONIES, PARTIES, ANNIVERSARIES, and most other happenings (such as RESTAURANT events).  I have a NEW, State-of-the-Art Keyboard (88 keys) and reliable AMP/EQUIPMENT.

RATES:  $100 each hour, lower by consideration for charitable and community/local events.  Travel fee of an additional $25 for distances greater than 25 miles from my home.  I am willing to work with organizations, especially nonprofit, on negotiating these costs, when appropriate.  Just shoot me a call or email.
